I'm working on the latest chapter of As the World Falls Down, but I need someone to read over it for me and give me an honest critique. The person needs to be over eighteen due to the nature of that story.

So after a long hiatus, I sit down in front of my computer to catch up on fan-fiction & to re-read my story & begin work on it again. (It is honestly why I sat at my computer an hour ago.) I open my email quickly & there is a PM from FF.net there - somebody named -mystical.unicorn.of.love- decided to plagiarize Itachi's Present. WTF!? This is not conducive to my wanting to write MORE fan-fiction.

I ask that everyone who knows me and/or my work please send a message to the admins of FF.net reporting abuse so they have to deal with this quickly.

We're going to the Superbowl baby!

I've never really understood football. I never understood how the game worked, so I couldn't really understand what all the fuss was about. Since I've been having all the problems at home, I've decided to make some changes in my life. Less time on the computer, and more time for other things. Even my daughter enjoys watching football, and I didn't. So, Bryan has been (very patiently, I might add) explaining the game and how it works to me. I've watched 3 games now and am totally in the Superbowl spirit! (It's amazing that our home team is doing so well just when I decided to take an interest, it gives it more of a I'm rooting for the good guys feel! hehehe) I fell asleep for part of the game, during that time, New Orleans scored twice. But while I was paying attention, da Bears were kicking ass. I told Bryan it was cuz I was paying attention. They were playing just for me. He was amused.

I learned over the course of the past few weeks that I am a decent snoop. I don't know if I should be proud of that fact or not. But at least now I know (I think) the full extent of the situation. 

I am dealing with a lot of depression issues and I've finally gotten back on my thyroid medication. I am hoping that it is the start of a new trend. A happier, healthier me.

Ok, well I've got 10 minutes to get to work.

F-itty F F F!!!!

80 gigs GONE. T_T 50 gigs of anime GONE - most of it irreplaceable since some titles are now lisenced. 15 gigs of music GONE. But the most irritating is the remaining 5 gigs. My "My Documents" folder. I have it on my E drive rather than C in case of virus so it won't be lost. Over 1,000 screenshots painstakingly perfected not to show subs. Avatars and wallpapers all GONE. All my dl'd AMV GONE.

But the 2 things that anger me the most? My digital pictures are all gone. Pictures of family and friends spanning the last 3 years, as well as photographs which I spent many hours scanning into my computer. And ALL of my writing. Hiasobi? Gone. As the World Falls Down? Gone. My outlines for upcoming story ideas? Gone. You know, it wouldn't be as big of a deal if I hadn't spent until 3:30am working on the next chapter of Hiasobi 2 nights ago. I'll never get that scene how I had it. And I liked it. A LOT. It had Itachi being so Itachi, like I had nailed his character - which is no easy feat. OMFG I want to stomp my feet and kick my computer and throw an all and all out childish temper tantrum right now. The only thing keeping me calm is that hubby has not been up here to see if he can fix this. I am running all sorts of scans as I type this to see if I have a virus or what is going on.

How does an entire hard drive just disappear? I have it partitioned into 2 sections - Music & Anime and both partitions are missing. Maybe something came loose and it isn't getting power. Maybe the connector to the motherboard came loose. GAHHHH!!! You know, when he wants something, he wants it yesterday, but when I am having kittens because everything is GONE he takes his sweet ass time. Anybody got a remote hubby zapper? Something to zap their asses with a strong electrical current everytime they behave other than we women would like? The woman to invent that would be rich I tell you. Rich!

While I am not so patiently waiting to see if I have lost  years worth of data, I came up with a new theory about Tobi tonight. I know a lot of people are speculating he is Obito. I don't think so. Obito had one eye crushed and gave Kakashi the other. Although the hole is on the side of his face that the crushed eye was on, and there is a slim chance that he could have been healed, but Konoha still had Tsunade in their ranks back then, so if it could have been done, Tsunade would have. I don't believe it is him. Instead, I think that Tobi is a spy. He was sent from one of the hidden villages to infiltrate the Akatsuki and take them down from the inside. Hence his mask. Also, I think that the design of the mask is some sort of a tell of Tobi's powers. The design reminds me of a black hole.

Gawd, I'm gonna go insane here. I hope he can fix it.. There is some weird icon on the screen that I've never had there before & never dl, so I dunno wtf. Ok, I'd like to hear your Tobi ideas?

[EDIT - He was able to get it back by pulling my computer apart & rebooting it after checking all the connections. He said nothing was loose, so the drive is going. Consider it an early warning and burn everything. Although I do not look forward to spending countless hours burning this stuff, I suppose that is better than suddenly losing it all.]

You heard right folks, it's an update! I've finished chapter 4 of As the World Falls Down and have a chapter of Hiasobi with Leafy right now to beta, so there will be another update within the week from me.

Remember, As the World Falls Down is a very adult story, between the language, the sexual innuendo's, the sexual situations, and the violence. If you are under 18, please steer clear of this one. Hiasobi will be updated soon.

So I've fallen off the face of LJ for quite awhile now - I've found MySpace. And better yet, I found ShoujoMagic direct DL's available on Myspace. I'm freaking hooked. I'm halfway through S right now, having already read every single release A-R. There's another site that has anime available to be watched direct from the site. The quality is crappy, but being able to watch a liscenced series on whim is nice. So I watched the first episode of Fooly Cooly and all I got to say is whoever wrote that was on some SERIOUS drugs. I mean, wow! So I'll prolly go and check out the second episode tonight, but I don't think this is an anime that I can sit and do a marathon & watch all at once.

We put up the Christmas tree this past Sunday & the kids decorated tonight, so we are getting festive. (I don't feel festive yet, I suppose this 60+ degree weather is prolly the cause, not that I'm complaining. Thursday the cold front is supposed to hit & I HATE the cold. I should move south. Far, far south.) But I am feeling like a bargain shopper. I got some AWESOME weekend after Thanksgiving sales, Hubby is gonna be so happy when he opens not only Smallville season 1 but also season 1 of House - normally $60 each, I got them for $20 each. Gotta love great bargains.

In other news, I have completed the next chapter of As the World Falls Down, but only was able to get it over to my beta today, so an update will be forthcoming. I also have one wee little part left for the next chapter of Hiasobi, so that will be updated soon as well.

Well, it's official, I'm an old coot now. 30 yrs old today. sigh

Anyway, my internet is currently shut off. I won't have it back for about 2 more weeks. So any updates, etc. will be nonexistant until I get it back. (And I was just really getting into a Korean Drama called "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" dammit!

Anyway, I'm at work so I can't make this long.

I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for the first time. I love these books, they bring me back to why I started to love to read so much. I thought I was such a rebel as a child, I would stay up a whole hour past bedtime to read Merideth Anne Pierce's Darkangel Trilogy & Anne McCaffrey's Dragonrider series. If it weren't for Disney's Little Mermaid, Ally would have been named Aeriel after the main character from Darkangel. But suddenly it was a popular name, and I didn't want to follow a trend. I want to run up to the bookstore and grab the next book right now.

I slammed my freaking finger in the door last night. What idiot does that? I can't type with the damn thing, the whole pad is a bloodblister.

We threw my best friend's 30th B-day party Friday night. It was a huge success. I was so pleased with how many people showed & how many presents she got! Hubby embarassed her SO bad by buying her this cute lil nighty. heh. I think my daughter has a crush on her youngest brother, he is 15, my daughter is 10. Thankfully he is scared of me due to me yelling at him for beating on his older sis back when he was about 10.

Ok, I think I am gonna go buy that book now. I have no self restraint. heh.

So I have been hunting for a Guts colorbar, but haven't found one. I figured I would give it a try and see if I could make it, but as far as I could get was pasting 6 different pics that I recolored in Publisher next to each other. I can't seem to figure out how to make them into one pic. Can anyone offer some advice or help?

Ok, so my son's computer isn't working right now, so I promised him 45 minutes time on my computer (during my computer time) so I had to go find something else to do. (I still haven't gotten around to watching the new series Fate Stay Night or Karin that I was told I should dl cuz they are REALLY good.) So anyway, I turn on the tube and On Demand pops up and I think what the hell? So I peruse the anime section and I see one called Kare Kano. Now I just saw manga for this the other day at Border's and passed it by in favor of the other 4 manga series I am working on reading/collecting. So, having seen the name before, I figured I'd give it a try. ZOMG! I watched the 1st episode and immediately wanted MORE! I started dl it, and was able to watch the second episode and it freaking made me cry, so now I REALLY want more! I found out the English title for this series is His & Her Circumstances. I am going to be naughty and go watch another episode now before I go to work, eh eh eh. (I'm not an addict, I SWEAR!)

There is nothing quite like waking up to the shrill scream from your child in severe pain. On a normal day it takes me a good 15 minutes to roll out of bed, today it took about 15 seconds to fly from sound asleep to the bottom of the staircase. I have a basket on the bottom step that is used to collect things that are to go upstairs and our puppy had decided that the papers in there looked good to chew on this morning. Then she deciced my son looked good to chew on, so he was paying more attention to the puppy than to where he was going, stepped on a paper slipped and whacked into the frame of the couch (still standing on end at the bottom of the staircase from our nearly done remodel) with his entire weight. He is ok (I think) it just hurt a lot. But damn, the way that boy screamed I thought he had broken his arm. He scared the piss out of me! (She's it getting ready to be a skinned puppy! My patience is growing remarkable thin with her chewing)

In better news, Bryan gave me my birthday present last night. I looked at him and said, "... honey, my birthday is not for THREE months." He said, "it's and Easter-Birthday present." Hell, I'm not gonna argue. It was an MP3 player with a 1 gig chip. Oh the excitement, my first MP3 player! It even came with an accessory that makes it play over my radio. I've already filled it most of the way up! hehe. We leave this Friday to go down south to Bryan's sister's house. It is an 8 hour drive and I am driving 3 kids 12, 10, & 8 with no adults. That is why he gave it to me, I'm going to be more insane than I already am by the time we get there. I need to snag some Voltair and some Primus from Bryan, I have been craving to listen to "Sailing the Seas of Cheese" I have heard that in years. (Actually, I have all my music now, I think the kids will be insane by the time we get there. My music tastes border on strange. BTW Jo, if you are reading this, I am IN LOVE with the Dirty Knife song. I have listened to it about 20 times already. I love the strings in it. Thanx!)

Ok, I finally got around to uploading the pics I have taken of the home remodelling project, so I thought I would share. With the new crown mouldings, you can begin to get a feel for how the room will look, I am getting impatient to be finished, and have everything looking nice.

Well, the home renovations are coming along. We have the living room painted. It was a really wild color scheme for me, but I DID it, and I think a few people's eyes popped out of their heads. The paint is a blend of this dijon mustard orange/yellow and burnt sienna red blended together with lamb's wool. The effect is really nice, and actually it was too blended, so we added more splotches here and there for effect. Standing in the kitchen looking down the hall at it, it looks brown.

The hardwood floors are now pseudo-hardwood floors. Sigh. I suppose it will be easier to maintain. And much less cost-wise. We are able to do all 4 rooms we wanted to instead of 2 this year and 2 next. It is a really light colored wood.

Bryan just brought home more trim today, I am so thrilled with the woodwork, I just do NOT want to know what he spent. Nope nope nope. They are all beveled and fancy, pre-painted and pretty. I wanted as much like the original wood work as possible, since it is an old house, and some frames are original and some somebody took a 1X4 and cut it to shape, poorly I might add. So we are getting 2 windows, 2 doorframes, all baseboards and crown-mouldings new.

The 55 gallon fish tank is getting an overhaul too. Even that blue is going buh-bye now! I saw these awesome rocks that looked tiger striped brown & black about 1 1/2" diameter, but they are $22 freaking bucks a bag, and it won't fill half the tank. My cheap ass can't see spending over $50 on ROCKS. I'll prolly get 1 bag of the fancy ones, and then some of the cream colored small ones and mix 'em.

I can't wait until the flooring is laid in the living room, I will be able to get to my dishwasher again. Butthead put ALL the flooring right in front of it, and I can't use it at all. (How spoiled am I? bitching cuz I have to hand-wash my dishes. But when you are in the midst of a major project, little conveniences like that go a loooong way.)
